Saturday 1/13/07

More good things are happening, and fast. His concentration continues to improve. His mood stabilizing medicine (depakote) has finally taken effect. G says he has been peaceful and profanity free Friday and Saturday, memory is better, and he was even discussing his future plans today. G is getting some relief, as my sister will be spending a week there.

Tom, Georg, and Steve
We continue to keep all of you in our prayers. I'm glad Beth is back at school and will be praying for her as she does the things she needs to do when I'm sure it's difficult for her to leave all of you.I'm not sure if you know that about 2 1/2 years ago I switched from the Birthing Center to mental health (I know they're not even related haha- but I was ready for a change after 30 yrs). The things you're describing that Steve is going through are common mental health issues when there's been head trauma. The good news is that he seems to be moving on through them quickly. As he learns/remembers more he will leave these things behind.Make sure that you and Georg take time to care for yourselves and your mental health also (I don't want to hear about you cursing and getting naked ;). Take care and remember we're all praying for you.
Love, Rita
